The 3.0-litre V6 TDI-powered Volkswagen Amarok pickup is now even more powerful thanks to an engine upgrade.
The powered plant now delivers 254bhp, or up to 268bhp with the overboost function engaged, while torque has also been improved with 428 ft-lb between 1,400 and 3,000rpm with full power on tap between 3,250 and 4,000rpm. The 3.0-litre V6 TDI-powered model now also has permanent 4MOTION all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
The upgraded engine comes as standard for range-topping Highline trim, which is priced from £34,325 (excluding VAT) and includes ABS, ESP and automatic post-collision braking system, climatronic air conditioning, Composition Media infotainment system with touchscreen and App-Connect, 18-inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights and side bars, front and rear parking sensors with rear-view camera, and Vienna leather upholstery.
