The Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid has become the most expensive car yet to qualify for the government's £5,000 plug-in car grant.
With prices for the car starting from £88,967, buyers will now be able to get behind the wheel of the Panamera hybrid for £83,967.
In addition to this, the Panamera S E-Hybrid is exempt from VED and the London Congestion Charge and is eligible for 100 per cent off first year capital allowance. The Porsche also attracts just a 5 per cent company car tax liability.
The Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid is powered by a 328bhp 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine mated to a lithium-ion battery and a 94bhp electric motor. 0-62mph takes just 5.5 seconds and top speed is 167mph but despite this the Panamera S E-Hybrid will return 91.1mpg and emit just 71g/km of CO2.
Porsche also claims that the Panamera hybrid has an all-electric range of 22 miles and can reach speeds of up to 84mph without troubling the petrol engine.
