Porsche has announced that it will be contacting nearly 1,200 Macan S and Macan Turbo owners in the UK whose vehicles may be affected by a leaking low-pressure fuel line.

The manufacturer stresses the move is precautionary measure after a potential problem was identified while investigating customer complaints. Porsche will examine 58,881 examples of the model worldwide, of which 1,198 are in Britain, and replace the low-pressure fuel line. The free-of-charge replacement will take around an hour, with the Porsche dealers contacting customers directly to arrange the process.

The precautionary recall affects petrol models only, with Porsche stressing that the issue has already been rectified in ongoing production.
