Peugeot have announced a raft of changes to their 108 city car range.
Amongst the changes are the new options of Active City Brake and Lane Departure Warning Systems on Allure and Feline models, new paint colour and personalisation themes, and an engine range which is now fully compliant with Euro 6 emissions standards.
The Active City Brake system is designed to alert the driver to potential low-speed collisions, automatically applying emergency braking at speeds below 20mph to prevent or mitigate accident damage. Meanwhile, when travelling in excess of 30mph, the Lane Departure Warning system alerts the driver when the car deviates over the lines on major roads.
With the addition of the new French Blue metallic paint finish there is now a choice of eight body colours, and the six two-tone paint schemes previously available only on the three-door models have now been extended to include the five-door variants too. With five interior ambiences and seven personalisation themes to choose from, the 108 offers plenty of scope for customers to tailor-make their car to their individual tastes.
A range of new Euro 6 compliant engines have been introduced. There are a pair of 68bhp 1.0-litre petrol engines and an 82bhp 1.2-litre PureTech engine, all of which bring improved efficiency and sub-100g/km CO2 emissions.
