Here at CarSite Towers, there's nothing we like more than some good gratuitous crash footage.

During testing at the Road Atlanta track, racing driver Gunnar Jeannette overtook a GTC Class Porsche 911 driven by Peter LeSaffre, just before the latter swerved across the track to go wide for the next corner.

The ensuing crash caused the DeltaWing to roll over into a concrete wall, generating forces of up to 7G. Ouch.

Luckily, neither driver was hurt in the collision. The Nissan DeltaWing team are now working hard to ensure the car is fixed in time for the 15th annual Petit Le Mans race.

Talking later about the crash, Jeannette said: "Not the best of practice sessions, unfortunately.

"Everything was going well... I followed a GTC car through [turns] 10a and 10b and I had a run on him exiting the corner before the bridge and pulled almost completely past.

"He cut over to take the apex and made heavy contact with the left-rear of our car that sent me for a bit of a ride."
