A new range-topping special has joined the Nissan Qashqai line-up with the addition of the limited-run Black Edition from £27,310 on-the-road.

Using the existing Tekna grade as its jumping off point, the Black Edition adds include 19-inch Black Ibiscus alloy wheels, Pearl Black metallic paint, front and rear styling plates and ‘Black Edition’ badged door entry guards.  It also gains the Panoramic Roof with one-touch shade as standard, usually a £400 optional extra on Tekna models.  Additional features include full black leather upholstery, Intelligent Park Assist, bi-LED headlights, and NissanConnect infotainment system.

The Nissan Safety Shield package of safety and assistance systems is also a standard feature on the Qashqai Black Edition.  It includes Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Forward Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Moving Object Detection and Driver Attention Alert.

Powered by the dC110 diesel with a 6-speed manual gearbox, the Qashqai Black Edition offers 70.6mpg and CO2 emissions of 103g/km.

The Sunderland-built crossover has been an unquestionable success story for Nissan, and since 2013 the Qasqai has rolled off the production line at a rate of 58 per hour, helping it to become the fastest ever UK made vehicle to hit the half-million production mark.
