To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the launch of the BMW M3, the German carmaker has released an exclusive special edition version of the current model.

Just 30 examples of the BMW M3 30 Jahre Edition will be available to UK buyers, priced at £82,675.

Based on the current Competition Package available to M3 buyers, the 450bhp BMW M3 30 Jahre Edition adds optimised Adaptive M suspension with new springs, dampers, and stabilisers, COMFORT, SPORT, and SPORT+ modes, modified Active M differential, and Dynamic Stability Control. It flies from 0-62mph in four second flat, with a limited top speed of 155mph, still returning a combined 34.0mpg.

Externally, the BMW M3 30 Jahre Edition sits on forged 20-inch M light-alloy star spoke alloys, BMW Individual Frozen Silver metallic paint, BMW Individual High Gloss Shadow Line, black chrome exhaust tail pipe, and carbon fibre front splitter, trims, mirror caps, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler. ‘M3 30 Jahre’ badging can be found on the front wings, and a unique model number plate appears on the carbon fibre instrument panel trim. Two-tone Black//Fjord Blue Merino leather trim, and 16-speaker harman/kardon surround-sound system also feature, as do Adaptive LED Headlights, BMW M Carbon Ceramic braking system, BMW M Head-up display, BMW M Double-Clutch Transmission, Comfort Access, Surround View, Comfort Access, Advanced Parking Pack, Extended Storage and a Speed Limit Display.
