It has been confirmed that the all-new Mitsubishi Shogun Sport will arrive in the UK early next year.
The Shogun Sport will follow hot-on-the-heels of the already-announced Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, both of which join an expanded SUV line up from the Japanese carmaker.
The seven-seat Shogun Sport will be powered by a lightweight, 180bhp, 2.4-litre diesel engine. This will be paired with an all-new eight-speed automatic transmission and Super Select II all-wheel drive system. Standard specification also includes Hill Descent Control, Trailer Start Assist, Hill Start Assist, and a dedicated off-road mode offering a choice of driving modes.
Two trim levels will be available at launch, both featuring leather upholstery, keyless entry with push-button start, LED daytime running lights, and Mitsubishi’s Smartphone Link Display Audio system which allows users to connect to apps or other features of their Apple or Android smartphone through the touchscreen or via voice control. The range-topping model adds heated front seats, Forward Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Warning, and Multi-around Monitor System that employs cameras at the front, rear and in the door mirrors to display a bird’s eye view around the car.
