New Mercedes-Benz GLC on sale | New Release - Car News May 2019

Mercedes-Benz are now taking orders for the new GLC, prices start from £39,420 for the 220 d 4MATIC Sport model.

The premium SUV went on UK sale this week, with first deliveries expected to commence in late summer.
Powered by a 194bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, the GLC 220 d can do 0 to 62 mph in 7.9 seconds and to a top speed of 134 mph, all while returning 40.9 mpg combined cycle and with CO2 emissions of 137 g/km.  The figures are even better for the Coupé version, which delivers up to 41.5 combined mpg and emits 145 g/km of CO2.

GLC 300 d models get a 245bhp version of the 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, and as a result hits 62mph from a standing start in just 6.5 seconds, and a tenth of a second faster in Coupé form.  It delivers up to 39.2 mpg combined and emits 157 g/km of CO2, while the Coupé can achieve 39.8 combined mpg and emits 159 g/km of CO2.

The GLC 220 d 4MATIC SUV is available in Sport, AMG Line and AMG Line Premium trims, with the latter two also offered on the Coupé.  The GLC 300 d 4MATIC SUV and Coupé are available in AMG Line Premium, AMG Line Premium Plus, and AMG Line Premium Plus Ultimate trims.
Sport includes MBUX multimedia system with ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice activation, mirror package, Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC and reversing camera, 10.25-inch touchscreen media display, 5.5-inch instrument cluster display, heated front seats, privacy glass, Agility Control Comfort suspension, and 18-inch five-triple-spoke alloy wheels all as standard.

AMG Line models add 19-inch five-twin-spoke AMG alloy wheels, AMG sports suspension with selective damping, AMG bodystyling including AMG front apron with sporty air intakes and chrome trim element, AMG sports seats in Artico/Dinamica upholstery, and diamond radiator grille.

AMG Line Premium models feature all of the above plus Multibeam LED headlights, running boards, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster display, ambient lighting, augmented navigation, 20-inch multi-spoke AMG alloy wheels, smartphone integration, and AMG sport seats in leather upholstery.

AMG Line Premium Plus models add a panoramic glass sunroof, Burmester surround sound, Keyless-Go Comfort package, memory seats, and 20-inch five-twin-spoke AMG alloy wheels.
AMG Line Premium Plus Ultimate gain Air Body Control including air suspension for front and rear axles with continuously adjustable damping, and MBUX Interior Assistant.

A Driving Assistance Package Plus is available for an extra £1,695 and adds Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Active Steering Assist, Active Braking Assist with cross traffic function, Evasive Steering Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Speed Limit Assist, and Pre-Safe Plus.
The all-new GLC range is available now at Mercedes-Benz retailers.
