The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate has gone on sale priced from £37,935.
That buys the E 220 d SE, powered by an all-new four pot 2.0-litre turbo-diesel producing 194bhp and fitted with a 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox. As a result the E 220 d SE estate offers 67.3mpg combined and CO2 emissions as low as 109g/km, yet is capable of 0-62mph in 7.7 seconds. Standard equipment on the SE trim level includes Garmin Map Pilot navigation system, Agility Control suspension, automatic powered tail gate, Parking Pilot with Parktronic and reversing camera, chrome roof rails, LED interior lighting, Keyless-Go, heated front seats, DAB radio, and five-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels.
The AMG Line version starts from £40,430, adding AMG exterior styling, titanium grey 19-inch alloy wheels, Artico leather-finished upper dashboard, black ash wood trim, brushed stainless steel AMG sports pedals with black rubber studs, and a Nappa leather three-spoke AMG steering wheel.
Optional extras include the £2,795 Premium Pack which adds Keyless-Go Comfort package, Memory package, and a panoramic glass sunroof, the Premium Plus pack which - for an extra £1,100 - adds a Burmester 13-speaker surround sound system and Multibeam LED Intelligent Light System, the £595 Lane Tracking pack which includes Passive Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist, and the £1,695 Driving Assistance Plus pack which adds Steering Pilot, Distance Pilot Distronic, and Speed Limit Pilot systems, as well as Active Brake Assist with cross-traffic function, Evasive Steering Assist, and Pre-Safe Impulse Side systems.
Six-cylinder diesel and 3.0-litre V6 petrol versions will join the E-Class Estate range later this year, Mercedes-Benz have confirmed.
