There is one disco that is open to the public despite lockdown, with the news that the new Land Rover Discovery has gone on sale priced from £53,090 on-the-road.
The next generation Discovery comes with a range of efficient 48-volt Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle powertraion options, advanced Pivi Pro infotainment system, and new exterior design with distinctive LED headlights and tail lights, and redesigned front and rear bumpers. Inside the seven-seat cabin is a Pivo Pro infotainment system with an 11.4-inch HD touchscreen, and advanced connectivity with Software-Over-The-Air updates.
Next-generation Activity Key, Click and Go tablet holders are provided for second row passenger, while Intelligent Seat Fold technology makes for a versatile and flexible cabin space. A new Cabin Air Ionisation system has also been added for improved air quality.
MHEV technology is an option on the Discovery’s list of straight-six Ingenium petrol and diesel engines, the latter of which are Euro 6d-Final-compliant. The power from these engines is put onto the tarmac via Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, which automatically distributes torque to the axle that needs it most. for optimum efficiency, and gives the new Discovery a best-in-class 3,500kg towing capacity.
