Honda has confirmed the UK pricing structure for its new Civic Type R model, which was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show this week.
The 2015 Civic Type R will be priced from just under £30,000, and is expected to hit UK showrooms from this July.
The entry-level model in the new Honda Civic Type R range will carry a price tag of £29,995, while the GT model – which Honda anticipates will be the most popular choice – will be priced at £32,295. Full specification details for the British-built Civic Type R range will follow closer to the launch date, but Honda have revealed the GT will come with forward collision warning, traffic sign recognition system, lane departure warning system, blind spot information with cross traffic monitor, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing auto wipers, dusk-sensing auto lights, front and rear parking sensor, interior red ambient lighting, and Honda’s new CONNECT infotainment system with GARMIN SatNav.
Honda also expect strong demand for the new performance model on their PCP package which, with a 30% deposit, should see monthly payments come in at less than £300 at 5.9% APR.
Honda claim there has been keen interest in the new Civic Type R already, with Honda UK Head of Cars Leon Brannan saying, “We are fully expecting a huge demand for the all new made in Britain Civic Type R and already have over 100 pre-orders in the order bank before our customers have even taken a test drive or seen the final production version.”
