The Mercedes-Benz A-Class range has gained two new diesel engines.
Compliant with the latest emissions standard, the new power plants will be available on the Mercedes-Benz A-Class A 200 d Sport from £28,805 on-the-road, and the A 220 d AMG Line from £30,005 on-the-road. The new engines will also be used in the new B-Class range.
In the A 200 d the 150bhp 2.0-litre unit delivers 67.3 mpg and emits 110 g/km of CO2, while propelling the car from 0-62 mph in 8.1 seconds. The 190bhp version in the A 220 d achieves 65.7 mpg with emissions of 114 g/km of CO2, and 0-62 mph in 7 seconds flat. An 8G-DCT 8-Speed automatic transmission is fitted as standard.
Sport trim models include MBUX multimedia system with Hey Mercedes voice activation, 7-inch cockpit display, 7-inch touchscreen media display, reversing camera, 17-inch ten-spoke alloy wheels, hard-disk navigation, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Speed Limit Assist, comfort suspension, DAB radio, Keyless-Go starting function, automatic two-zone climate control, LED high performance headlights and tail lamps, and dark carbon fibre trim with Artico and Fléron fabric upholstery. AMG Line has 18-inch five-twin-spoke AMG alloy wheels, diamond radiator grille, AMG bodystyling, Artico and Dinamica microfibre upholstery, and three-spoke sports steering wheel.
A range of optional extra packages are also available.
