An image which appears to show the fifth new model in the Bugatti Veyron Legends series has appeared online ahead of its official unveiling at the Beijing Motor Show next month.
The image, which appeared on a French Bugatti forum, reveals that the new model will be dedicated to Czech racing driver Elizabeth Junek.
Bugatti is expected to produce just three examples of the Elizabeth Junek edition, with each car estimated to cost around £1.8million. The exact details of the car have yet to be confirmed but it will be powered by the same 1184bhp 8.0-litre W16 engine found in the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, giving a 0-62mph time of 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 254mph.
On the outside, the special edition has been given a two-tone black and yellow paint job with bespoke yellow alloy wheels. Inside, the seats are trimmed in brown leather, with Junek's signature stitched into the headrests.
Born in 1900, Elizabeth Junek is regarded as one of the greatest Female racing drivers in Grand Prix motor racing history. She competed at a number of prestigious races, including the Targa Florio, before the death of her husband and co-driver at the Nurburgring in 1928 prompted her to leave the sport. She died in 1994, aged 93.
Previous models in Bugatti's Legends series have included tributes to Jean Bugatti, Jean-Pierre Wimille and Meo Costantini.
