The French sportscar maker Alpine has confirmed the launch details for their new A110S model.
The A110S will be available to order from 3 September, with prices for the lightweight, mid-engined two-seater starting from £56,810 on-the-road.
Powered by a 292bhp turbocharged 1.8-litre petrol engine, the Alpine A110S comes as standard with a high performance braking system including 320mm bi-material brake discs and Brembo callipers, and specially-tuned Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres.
Ride height is lowered by 4mm compared to standard A110 models, while the new springs are 50% stiffer and the hollow anti-roll bars are twice as stiff. The electronic stability control has also been recalibrated in order to handle the resultant increase in grip.
Top speed is 161mph, while 0-62mph is achieved in 4.4 seconds.
Optional extras include a £2,208 carbon fibre roof panel that shaves off almost 2kg in weight, and a £1,656 option of carbon fibre-backed Dinamica-trimmed Sabelt bucket seats.
