Renault have added to the engine options available on its Captur crossover range, with the introduction of a new 1.5-litre 110bhp diesel power plant on Dynamique, Dynamique S, and Signature models.
The new Euro 6 compliant engine, which will be available to order from 1 April, is the most powerful diesel engine offered on the Captur to date, but will still offer up to 76.4mpg. With stop/start engine technology, CO2 emissions will be as low as 98 g/km, making some models exempt from road tax.
The Dynamique trim level includes seven-inch touchscreen, satellite navigation and multimedia connectivity, 17-inch silver alloys and automatic climate control, and with the new 110bhp diesel engine will cost £17,695 on-the-road. Priced at £19,195 with the new engine, the Dynamique S adds rear parking sensors, 17-inch two-tone alloys and electrically-operated, folding and heated mirrors.
The Signature trim, recently added at the top of the Captur range, adds the R-Link Multimedia system with TomTom LIVE satellite navigation, Grip Xtend advanced traction control, uprated sound system, rear parking camera and leather upholstery. The Renault Captur Signature ENERGY dCi 110 S&S carried a price tag of £20,795.
The Captur has proved a successful model for Renault since its mid-2013 introduction. It was Renault’s second most popular UK model in 2014, selling over 20,000 units.
