Mitsubishi have confirmed that their Eclipse Cross mid-sized SUV will go on full UK sale in January priced from £21,275 on-the-road.

Three trim levels will be available at launch - Eclipse Cross 2, Eclipse Cross 3 and Eclipse Cross 4 – all powered by an all-new 163bhp 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. There will be a choice of transmission options; a six-speed manual or advanced new automatic transmission that is available with Sport mode, manual override and paddle shifters.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will be available in either two- or four-wheel drive, with the latter incorporating Mitsubishi’s Super All-wheel Control with three advanced drive modes - Auto, Snow and Gravel.

Standard equipment includes a touch-pad controller, Smartphone Display Audio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatability, rear view camera, DAB radio with six speakers, cruise control, climate control air conditioning, LED Daytime Running Lights, Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calls, 16-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass and heated door mirrors.

Safety features and systems include Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Mitigation, ABS, Active Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, Brake Assist, seven airbags, dusk and rain sensors, and automatically operated dipped beams.

Eclipse Cross 3 trim adds 18-inch alloy wheels, head-up display, heated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and keyless start, electrically folding door mirrors, silver side sills and an electronic handbrake on automatic versions, while top-of-the-range Cross 4 versions gain leather trim, electrically-adjustable driver’s seat, electric opening panoramic roof, nine-speaker Rockford Fosgate Premium sound system, LED headlamps, 360°parking camera, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control on automatic models.

A special First Edition version will be available at launch, priced from £26,825 on-the-road and based on the Eclipse Cross 4. Just 250 examples will be available boasting exclusive extras such as a premium paint finish, carbon-finish bumper corner and side extension kit with red inserts, additional silver styling details to the front and rear, special First Edition floor mats with red trim and unique First Edition badging.
