This is the new MINI Paceman Adventure, a two-seater pickup version of the standard Paceman.
But despite the company's ever-growing portfolio of new models, this is one MINI which won't see the light of day.
The Paceman Adventure is a design study created by BMW's young apprentices who were tasked with building a 'creative vision' for the Mini brand. Underneath, the Paceman Adventure is powered by the same 181bhp 1.6-litre turbocharged engine at the Cooper S Paceman All4; however, that's where the similarities end.
The rear seats and boot have been ditched in favour of a cargo area, while extra storage is provided courtesy of a roof rack, which is also where you'll find the spare wheel. On top of this, there's a snorkel-like ait intake to help the car traverse deep river crossings, special off-road tyres and additional lights. The chassis has also been modified to provide higher ground clearance.
MINI claims that the Paceman Adventure would be "suitable for driving on gravel roads, through muddy tracks or on desert trails."
So, would you like to see the Paceman Adventure make it into production, or is this one design study which should remain a figment of the designer's imagination?
