MG sales have smashed through the 5,000 unit barrier following a spectacular July performance.
The Longbridge-based brand shifted 813 new cars last month, up a staggering 166% on last July, taking it total for the year so far to 5,099 new registrations.
This means that just seven months into the year, more MGs have been sold than during the whole of 2017. The news is even more impressive in a UK new car market which has contracted by 5.5% since the start of this year.
The company already has plans to build on its already successful year-to-date with an updated MG3, including a revised front end and interior, on its way in September. MG are also working to expand their UK dealer network.
“Customers continue to be attracted to MG’s value-for-money model range, especially the all-new MG ZS compact SUV with its amazing 7 year warranty”, said MG Motor UK’s Head of Sales & Marketing, Daniel Gregorious.
