Supercars are a bit like buses. You wait for what seems like a lifetime for one, and then two come along at once.
And with the launches of the new Ferrari LaFerrari and the new McLaren P1 falling on the same day, the biggest showdown in hypercar history has begun.
The McLaren P1 is the successor to the legendary McLaren F1 -- regarded by many to be one of the greatest automotive achievements of all time. However, while the F1 was a record-breaking tour-de-force, McLaren has taken a more measured approach with the P1, and instead of aiming to create the fastest or the most powerful car in the world, McLaren has decided to try and build the world's greatest drivers car.
Ferrari, on the other hand, is attempting to create the world's fastest and most brutal hypercar. On paper, it has the McLaren well and truly licked; however, we suspect that when the two cars meet to do battle on tarmac, the gap between the two will be smaller than you think.
Take a look at the facts and figures below and let us know which car you prefer in the Facebook thingummy at the bottom of the page.
