Mazda have announced that they will unveil their new TAKERI mid-size saloon concept at the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show.

The TAKERI concept features new SKYACTIV technology and is styled in Mazda's new KODO design language. The concept is fitted with a SKY-ACTIV-D diesel engine, Mazda i-stop stop/start technology and a regenerative braking system - a first for Mazda. These innovative features should allow the TAKERI to deliver excellent fuel economy and low CO2 emissions.

Also on the stand will be the new CX-5 crossover 4x4 and a number of other production models. The CX-5 goes on sale here in Britain next year.

The TAKERI concept will be on show on Wednesday 30th November and the Tokyo Motor Show continues until 11th December.
