Maserati has entered the luxury SUV market after the new Levante model was unveiled at a ceremony in London.
Priced from £54,335, the Maserati Levante will go on UK sale next month, and marks the Italian brand’s first foray into the luxury SUV sector. Joining the Quattroporte, Ghibli, GranTurismo and GranCabrio, the Maserati line-up now covers the entirety of the luxury car market with Maserati GB’s Giulio Pastore saying, “With strong demand for luxury SUVs, we are now able to appeal to an even wider audience. The best thing about Levante is that it’s a true and pure Maserati that has perfect on-road and off-road capabilities, offering owners the ultimate in terms of elegance, practicality and comfort of a luxury SUV yet retaining the marque’s performance DNA.”
The Maserati Levante has active air suspension with five ride height options as standard and a 3.0 litre V6 Turbo Diesel power unit. A Luxury or Sport pack can boost the Levante’s spec, with the price rising to £60,285, while the £61,185 Luxury Pack Zegna Edition gains bespoke Zegna Mulberry Silk. Order books will open in June, with deliveries to commence this autumn.
