Lotus have confirmed the pricing structure for the new Evora 400 model, which was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March and will go on UK sale this summer priced from £72,000.
For that price you will get 370mm, two-piece AP Racing composite brake discs, a limited slip differential, automatic air conditioning, and infotainment system with SatNav. The uprated specification brings with it improved performance, and at just 1 minute 32 seconds the Evora S is a full six seconds a lap faster than the previous Evora S model around Lotus’ Hethel test track. The combination of a lightweight aluminium chassis, composite body, and the all-new supercharged 3.5-litre V6 engine give the Evora a top speed of 186mph, and a 0-60mph acceleration time of just 4.1 seconds.
Jean-Marc Gales concludes: “The Evora 400 is the fastest road-going Lotus that we have ever produced. It delivers supercar looks allied to supercar performance and our global dealer network of 179 dealers which will grow to 200 by the end of the year is excited to be able to deliver this high performing benchmark handling supercar to the ever growing customer waiting list.”
The extensive options list includes automatic transmission for an additional £2,000, Alcantara or leather trim for £2,500, and metallic paint finish at £900. The £1,250 “Black Pack” option adds gloss black roof, sills, and rear wing centre section, as well as dark interior headlining. Lightweight forged alloys can be added for another £2,000, while cruise control or yellow/black brake callipers are a £300 each optional extra.
First UK deliveries of the new Lotus Evora 400 are expected to commence in August.
