Lotus have released this fastest street-legal sports car, the Lotus 3-Eleven 430.
The new 3-Eleven 430 lapped Lotus’ challenging Hethel test track 0.8 seconds quicker the Lotus Exige Cup 430, and a full two seconds quicker than the previous 3-Eleven.
Its upgraded supercharged, charge-cooled 3.5-litre V6 engine produces 430 bhp and gives the 3-Eleven 430 a 60 mph acceleration time of just 3.1 seconds, and a top speed of 180 mph.
The power-to-weight ratio is optimised thanks to a lightweight carbon-composite body, a bespoke extruded and bonded aluminium chassis, part-exposed carbon side panels, and carbon interior panels.
The original 3-Eleven was unveiled at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed, with Lotus spicing up the model for the company’s 70th anniversary. Just 20 examples production road examples of the 3-Eleven 430 are available to order priced at £102,000 on-the-road.
