Land Rover has unveiled two new concepts for the Land Rover Defender at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The DC100 and DC100 Sport allegedly show the thinking behind a replacement for the Land Rover Defender, which Land Rover hopes to put into production in 2015.

Land Rover claims that, "[the] DC100 and DC100 Sport capture the flexibility, adaptability and configurability that have always been key attributes of Land Rover and continue in today's Defender."

Both cars share the same platform and are packed with a variety of off-road technology including Wade Aid - a sonar device which assesses water depth for fording - and Terrain-I - a device which warns of off-road obstacles.
