Lamborghini's new Veneno roadster has been revealed to the public in Abu Dhabi.
The unveiling took place, in typically understated Lamborghini style, on board an Italian aircraft carrier which is currently touring the Middle East in an attempt to promote Italian-made products and boost trade for the country.
The Veneno roadster is based on the Veneno coupe which made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. Based on the Aventador, the Veneno roadster is fitted with a mid-mounted 740bhp 6.5-litre V12 engine which is mated to a semi-automatic gearbox. Lambo claims that 0-62mph takes just 2.9 seconds and flat out the car will do 220mph.
Just nine examples of the Veneno roadster will be built, each carrying a price tag of €3.3million (around £2.8million).
