Kia have announced an overhaul of their million selling Cee’d range.
The Slovakian-built Cee’d range includes the five-door Cee’d, three-door Pro_Cee’d, Cee’d Sportswagon, and the sporty Cee’d GT and Pro_Cee’d GT.
Originally launched in 2006, the Kia Cee’d has sold over 100,000 units in the UK, which is Kia’s largest and most profitable European market, and with the new upgrades to the latest model the manufacturer expects to sell around 13,500 during next year. Kia predict the 1.4-litre petrol SR7 special edition to be the biggest hit with retail buyers, with the five-door 1.6-litre CRDi diesel the Cee’d of choice for fleet buyers.
The upgraded Kia Cee’d range will hit the UK from 1 October, priced from £14,905 for the Cee’d, £15,250 for the Pro_Cee’d, and £16,750 for the Cee’d Sportswagon. There are 19 versions of the five door Cee’d available to UK buyers, nine versions of the Pro_Cee’d, and 12 versions of the Cee’d Sportswagon, with up to eight trim levels to choose from - 1, SR7, 2, 3, 4, 4 Tech, GT-Line and GT. All models come with a 7-year/100,000-mile transferrable warranty.
