Jaguar Land Rover have reported a 27% surge in sales for November, selling over 46,500 vehicles.

It was the best November sales result in the UK manufacturer’s history, and pushes their year-to-date total up to 437,512. Domestic sales lead the charge in November, up by 70%, with Europe not far behind on 68% and North America up 52%, but sales in the Chinese market were hit by the recent economic slowdown.

The new Jaguar XE has provided a huge boost to the company since it’s summer launch, with almost 20,000 examples having found homes already.

Andy Goss, Jaguar Land Rover Group Sales Operations Director said:  “We started the fourth quarter of 2015 with a record October and have followed this up with another historic month of sales, thanks in large part to the performance of the UK and European markets. Jaguar has delivered a strong performance with solid growth in the UK and Europe thanks to the new XE. Land Rover has again seen record sales this month with continued strong global demand for the new and refreshed model line-up."
