It has been confirmed that the new Jeep Wrangler will be priced from £44,865 on-the-road when it goes on sale.
Redesigned both inside and out, the new Jeep Wrangler also boasts new engines in the form of a 2.2-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel or 2.0-litre turbo petrol, with eight-speed automatic transmission. Also new to the Wrangler are front and rear LED lights, new Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and extra safety features including Blind-spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Path detection, ParkView reverse camera, electronic stability control with electronic roll mitigation, and four standard air bags.
Command-Trac four-wheel drive is included on Sahara and Overland trim levels, with Rock-Trac four-wheel drive standard on Rubicon trim, with both systems boasting the new Selec-Trac full-time two-speed transfer case for a continuous monitoring and management of the torque sent to front and rear wheels.
The new Wrangler is still unmistakably a Jeep, with round headlights, seven-slot grille ,and trapezoidal wheel arches. It offers various top combinations for open-air motoring, including the Sky One-Touch powertop, new Zipperless Premium Sunrider soft top, and Freedom Top - a removable, three-panel hard top.
Wrangler will be available in 10 different exterior colours - Black, Firecracker Red, Billet Silver Metallic, Bright White, Granite Crystal Metallic, Hellayella, Ocean Blue, Punk’n Metallic, Mojito and Sting Gray.
The instrument cluster features a 7-inch TFT full-colour LED display, with integrated buttons on the steering wheel to control audio, voice and speed functions.
Petrol versions are on sale immediately, with diesel to follow shortly, all with a five year warranty, three year servicing programme, and five years roadside assistance included as standard.
