UK sports car fans will soon be able to get their hands on a new product from the land of the rising sun as the Japanese built Mitsuoka Roadster comes to these shores.

Priced at £53,800, the 2.0-litre Roadster boasts a power retractable hard top and comes with a choice of six-speed manual or automatic powershift transmissions. The design is inspired by the styling of classic British sports cars, but the rear-wheel drive Roadster is cutting edge in other areas with the manufacturer claims the power retractable hard top is the fastest in the world, going from open to closed at the flick of a switch in just 12 seconds.  Heated leather seats are standard, as is automatic climate control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, electronic brake force distribution, dynamic stability control, traction control, and front side airbags.

Low-volume, hand built luxury car maker Misuoka Motor Company has been in existence for almost half a century, but the Roadster is only now being made available in Europe with T W White & Sons the sole UK distributor.

"The UK represents one of the largest classic car markets in the World,” said Jen White, Mitsuoka Project Manager for the UK distributors. “The unique design of the Mitsuoka Roadster draws inspiration from the classic Roadster heritage and combines this traditional styling with the latest state of the art technology."
