Next month’s Paris Motor Show will see the unveiling of a new concept car from Infiniti and the Japanese brand claim the model will lead to a future production version.
Called the Infiniti Q80 Inspiration, the premium four-door fastback will debut on 2nd October in Hall 5 of the Parc des Expositions de Versailles. "After showing Q30 Concept and Q50 Eau Rouge, Infiniti is eager to show the upper range of our portfolio expansion," said Infiniti Executive Design Director, Alfonso Albaisa when speaking about the hybrid-electric powered Q80 Inspiration. With the wheelbase accounting for 3103mm of the Q80 Inspiration’s 5052mm profile, and sitting on 22-inch five-dual-spoke lightweight alloys, the fastback strikes an impressive pose. The absence of side-door mirrors is noticeable, as is a full length lightweight acoustic glass roof. Inside the teardrop-shaped cabin is a quartet of passenger the seats designed to give each occupant their own personal space. The manufacturer refers to this carbon-fibre, aluminium, and leather-clad layout as “1+1+1+1” seating. The acoustic glass and additional sound deadening are designed to give a quiet ride, with advanced adaptive suspension planned to enhance the driving experience further. The Q80 Inspiration concept is a design Infiniti claims its four worldwide design studios will use as a reference point for future production designs.
