Hyundai have announced that their all-new premium saloon, the Genesis, will go on UK sale from the start of April.
Available in one high-specification format, the new Hyundai Genesis will be sold in limited numbers via selected Hyundai dealerships, with a price tag of £47,995 on-the-road.
Powering the Genesis is a 3.6-litre V6GDI engine, which feeds the rear wheels in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The spacious interior of the Hyundai Genesis includes fine grain leather upholstery, and an advanced infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen. The premium saloon boasts safety features including Smart Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, and a world first CO2 cabin sensor which monitors the quality of the cabin environment and helps protect the driver from the dangers of drowsiness. There are four cameras providing a 360-degree view of the car to assist the Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Detection systems. A heads-up display projects information into the driver’s line of vision, and other standard features include a Smart Boot System which automatically opens the boot if the smart key is detected within close proximity for over three seconds. An automatic door closing system is also included, with the doors surrounded by Genesis-branded illumination lights, and the model comes in a choice of seven exterior paint finish options.
The Hyundai dealerships selected to retail the new model will be fitted with an exclusive Genesis display zone manned by specially-trained staff.
