A record month of sales has helped cement the UK’s position as Hyundai’s most important European market.
In a UK market growing year-on-year by an average of just over 1%, September sales helped Hyundai Motor UK record sales growth of 9.6%. Retail vehicle sales were up by 11.5%, bucking the trend of decline in the market. The results mark Hyundai’s best-ever sales month in a European market.
The Hyundai Tucson was the biggest seller overall, with the recently-launched new generation i10 leading the way in the retail sales sector.
“We continually focus on how we can improve our offering for consumers, whether that be embracing the process of digitalisation throughout our dealer network or the development of new models, such as the new generations of the i10 and i30 which recently made their public debuts at the Paris Motor Show,” said Hyundai Motor UK CEO Tony Whitehorn.
“This approach has helped us to deliver this sales growth in a very competitive market and we hope it will continue to enable us to not only retain current customers but also attract new ones.”
