The new Hyundai i10 will cost from £8,345 when it goes on sale in the UK at the end of next January.
Appearing on the market five years after the launch of its predecessor, the new i10 is 80mm longer, 50mm lower and 65mm wider than the old car.
The new i10 will be offered with two petrol engines: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder unit with 65bhp and 69lb-ft of torque and a 1.2-litre four-pot with 86bhp and 89lb-ft of torque. The smaller engine will complete the 0-62mph run in 14.9 seconds and hit 96mph, while the 1.2 takes 12.3 seconds and will hit 106mph.
Nearly 30 per cent of the body structure of the new i10 is made from high-tensile steel which not only improves the car's impact resistance but also helps lower the car's noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) levels.
Three trim levels are on offer: S, SE and Premium. The entry-level S model comes with 14-inch steel wheels, central locking, cloth trim, electric front windows, a CD player with USB input, daytime-running lights and a tilt adjust steering wheel.
Moving up the range to SE trim, the i10 gets remote central locking, electric rear windows, electric heated door mirrors, body-coloured door handles and mirrors, driver's seat height adjustment and a black B-pillar. Unlike the S which is available in 1.2-litre guise only, the SE is available with both powertrains. Prices for the SE trim start from £9,295.
Starting from £9,995, the range-topping Premium model gets 14-inch alloys, Bluetooth with voice recognition, steering wheel controls, LED daytime-running lights, front fog lights, rear speakers, door mirror indicators, a leather steering wheel and smatterings of chrome in the cabin.
