Hyundai is set to reveal its new HND-9 luxury sports coupe concept at the Seoul Motor Show later this month.
The HND-9 is the ninth concept to be designed at the firm's Research and Development Centre in Namyang, Korea, and previews design elements which could find their way into the next-generation Hyundai Coupe.
Hyundai claims that the HND-9 is a "modern reinterpretation of the elegant image of a classic premium sports coupe." The car features a long bonnet and wheelbase, a wide hexagonal radiator grille, butterfly doors and dual twin exhaust pipes.
Under the bonnet, the HND-9 is fitted with a 3.3-litre V6 turbocharged GDi petrol engine which sends 365bhp to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
We'd have to say that the HND-9 looks absolutely fantastic. It really is astonishing that a company which as recently as 2006 was selling us the bloody-awful Accent is now penning concepts as stylish and appealing as this.
The HND-9 will be unveiled on 28 March during Hyundai's press conference at the Seoul Motor Show.
