Honda have reported a spectacular surge in European sales over the summer, boosted in part by the all-new HR-V and Jazz models.
The Japanese manufacturer saw a 14% growth in the UK market, but that is overshadowed by the German, French, and Spanish markets - where sales grew by more than twice that figure – and the Italian market where Honda sales are up by a staggering 118.3% compared to 2015.
Overall, a total of 127,655 were sold in Europe to the end of September, and with the new UK-built Civic being rolled out the manufacturer shows no sign of resting on its laurels.
“Our aim is to exceed 160,000 units for 2016, giving us strong momentum for 2017 as we see the new European-built Civic hatchback range arrive in showrooms,” said Jean-Marc Streng, General Manager of Honda Motor Europe.
