Youth charity The Prince’s Trust will get a financial boost from Bentley Motors graduates, who are staging an auction of unique, handcrafted collector’s items in Crewe.

Bentley's famous craftsmen and women have put their skills and creativity to work creating a range of one-off collector's items that will be put up for auction to raise money for The Prince's Trust.

These items range from beautiful display pieces, like a chess-set with pieces made from tooled aluminium on a veneered board, to a table made from a polished V8 engine taken from the Bentley Mulsanne model, and a cutlery set commissioned by Robert Welch and engraved with the Bentley emblem.

In total around 20 pieces have been made. Apart from the Robert Welch cutlery set, they have all been designed and created at the Bentley factory in Crewe, and they do an excellent job of showcasing the high levels of craftsmanship which go into the build process of a Bentley car.

Bentley's Board Member for Manufacturing, Mr Michael Straughan, has said of the pieces, "The design brief for the auction was to create a unique and desirable item based upon the core materials, parts and processes that are used to build cars such as the Mulsanne and the Continental GT.

The results are exquisite and the auction is a rare opportunity for Bentley lovers to own a one-off handcrafted piece of Bentley memorabilia."
