The latest Toyota Yaris has passed Euro NCAP safety testing with flying colours.

Toyota’s small family car earned a five star rating after being tested under the new, tougher protocols introduced for 2020.

While small SUVs like the Toyota C-HR haven't had the new test, the Toyota Yaris is the first car to face Euro NCAP’s all-new frontal offset test.  With two centre-mounted airbags to limit occupants’ travel across the cabin in an impact, and the latest Toyota Safety Sense package which includes technology to stop the vehicle turning in order to avoid collision with oncoming traffic, the new Yaris impressed the engineers with its overall performance in crash testing.
