Vauxhall have revealed the first images of the new Zafira Tourer, which hits UK showrooms from October.
It boasts enhanced front headlamp design, ’double wing’ daytime running lights, and new upper and lower grilles, but the changes run deeper with a new interior, redesigned instrument panel offering increased forward visibility, and integrated seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Driver assistance includes Front Camera System, Traffic Sign Assistant, Following Distance Indicator, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
The new Vauxhall Zafira Tourer comes with cutting edge systems including OnStar, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Adaptive Forward Lighting LED headlamps, as well as the Flex7 seating system, ergonomically-certified AGR front seats, Flex-Fix bicycle carrier and FlexRide adaptive damping inherited from its predecessor. The multi-functional FlexRail console system with modular storage includes a large storage box and cup-holders that slide on aluminium rails to the desired position. Second-row passengers benefit from the Lounge Seating system with folding mechanism to lower and rotate the back of the middle seat to offer comfortable armrests for the passengers in the outer seats. Row three can be fold flush with the floor of the luggage compartment for a level load surface.
A panoramic sunroof and windscreen enhances the feeling of spaciousness.
“The front design of the new Zafira Tourer takes the major characteristics of the award-winning new Astra, and anchors it in Vauxhall’s new portfolio,” said Mark Adams, Vice President, Design Europe.
“Its sharp, precise double-winged daytime running lights convey a new level of sophistication, which is also reflected in the interior by a completely redesigned instrument panel. It is purer, clearer and easier to use.”
