Volkswagen has released a teasing image of their upcoming new premium saloon.
It is the first chance for the public to see what the new model, to be called the Arteon, will look like. The new model, which will sit above the Passat in the Volkswagen line up, won’t be officially unveiled until the Geneva Motor Show in three months time. The Arteon is then expected to be launched next summer.
The sole profile impression of the Arteon highlights the grand tourer styling with muscular look and frameless door windows. Volkswagen say the front will feature three-dimensional LED headlights into which the radiator grille bars extend, and a top-hinged, wide-opening tailgate.
Tobias Sühlmann, Exterior Designer on the Arteon project, said: “At first sight, the Arteon arouses enthusiasm through its expressive design. It then surprises through its practical virtues. This combination is unique."
