The SEAT Leon CUPRA R has gone on UK sale priced from £34,995 on-the-road.
The 306bhp Leon CUPRA R was unveiled at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, and of just 799 to be produced during the early part of 2018 there will be an initial allocation of 24 for the UK.
Enhancements include a new steering system, modified camber angles on the front axle, four-piston Brembo brake callipers, and a retuned exhaust system. With a six-speed manual transmission the Leon CUPRA will accelerate to 62mph from a standing start in just 5.8 seconds, and all the way to a limited 155mph.
Aesthetically, the Leon CUPRA R benefits from carbon fibre details for the rear spoiler, lower lip spoiler, side skirts and rear diffuser, extended wheel arches, redesigned air intakes, copper-coloured door mirrors, CUPRA tailgate lettering, and copper and black 19-inch CUPRA R alloy wheels. Two metallic paint options are available, Monsoon Grey and Midnight Black.
The copper theme extends to the inside, including detailing on the dashboard, centre console, door panel stitching, and steering wheel CUPRA logo. There is also an Alcantara gearstick, steering wheel, and front bucket seats with copper stitching.
Equipment includes Keyless Enter & Go with Wireless Phone Charge, heated front seats, headlight washers, rear view camera, Tiredness recognition System and rear seatbelt reminder, BeatsAudio sound system with 10 speakers, adaptive cruise control, and an eight-inch touchscreen with Full Link, dynamic route guidance with 3D map display and 3D emblematic buildings, and 10GB hard disk drive.
