Caterham have launched a trio of new models based on their iconic Seven lightweight sports car.
As well as the new additions, all models in the Caterham Seven range can now be ordered with brand new ‘S’ and ‘R’ trim levels.
The new Caterham Seven 270, Seven 360, and Seven 480 models join the range, and are available to order now. They sit in between the current entry-level Caterham Seven 160 and the supercharged, range-topping 620R model.
Priced from £22,995, the Caterham Seven 260 model is powered by the 135bhp 1.6-litre Ford Sigma engine, and is 10bhp more powerful than the Roadsport 140 model it replaces. The Seven 360, priced from £26,995, boasts a 180bhp 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine, while a modified version of the same power plant producing 210bhp powers the £29,995 Seven 420, which goes from 0-62mph in four seconds flat.
The new S trim level is available on all Caterham Seven models, and is aimed at the casual driver with a fully-carpeted cockpit, full windscreen, hood, side screens and leather seats. The R trim is more track-focused, with a limited-slip differential, sports suspension, and four-point racing harness, as well as exclusive lightweight 15-inch Orcus alloy wheels.
“The Caterham brand has always had simplicity at its heart,” said Caterham Cars CEO Graham MacDonald. “Now, with our all-new, simplified model line-up and equipment packages, we feel we have a Seven for everyone, whether your perfect drive is a Sunday drive through the countryside or a hardcore blast around a race track.”
