Bentley has unveiled a new Limited Edition version of its Mulsanne destined exclusively for the European market.
Named after Tim Birkin, the British racing driver and "Bentley Boy" of the 1920s and 30s, the Birkin Mulsanne will be limited to just 22 units and will feature a number of unique styling details.
Three colours will be available: Ghost White, Damson and a two-tone paint job featuring Fountain Blue and Dark Sapphire hues, which Bentley claims offers a modern interpretation of the classic two-tone Bentley paint design.
Each car will feature numbered door sill plaques, a unique 21-inch alloy wheel design and 3D 'Flying B' logos stitched onto the headrests and inlaid into the wood of the front and rear picnic tables. In addition to this, all models come with a hand-crafted, individually-numbered luggage set.
The seats and door panels are finished in a diamond quilting pattern and each cars features two 8-inch LCD screens mounted to the rear of the front headrests. A DVD player, a WiFi hotspot and the Naim for Bentley premium audio system are all included as standard and the picnic tables even come with integrated iPads.
Power comes from the same 505bhp 6.75-litre twin-turbo V8 fitted to the standard car, giving a 0-62mph time of 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 184mph.
Bentley has not confirmed how much the Mulsanne Birkin will cost, but expect a significant hike over the standard car's £225,800 price tag.
