Audi has revealed a new limited edition version of the TT sports car to commemorate sales of the car reaching the 500,000 mark.
Half a million TTs have found homes worldwide since the model first went on sale way back in 1998; however, just 500 examples of the new TTS Limited Edition will be sold worldwide, with just 120 making their way to the UK.
On the outside, the TTS Limited Edition gets two new exclusive paint colours: Nimbus grey for the hard-top and Imola yellow for the roadster. Both cars also feature a fixed rear spoiler inspired by the TT RS and an upgrade from the 18-inch wheels of the standard TTS to 19-inch alloys.
Inside, there's special grey leather upholstery with "baseball" stitching along with a "1 of 500" plaque in the door insert to signify the car's limited edition status. Standard equipment also includes DVD-based satellite navigation, Bluetooth, iPod connectivity, a BOSE sound system, rear parking sensors, cruise control, automatic lights and wipers and a special interior light package.
Prices for the TTS Limited Edition start from £38,860 for the coupe and £42,320 for the roadster. This is a premium of £2,815 over the standard TTS; however, Audi claims that the extra equipment amounts to £5,665, equating to a "customer saving" of £2,850.
