The new Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is available for order now priced from £59,500 on-the-road.
The carbon fibre monocoque construction of the 4C Spider, together with the all-new aluminium rollover structure and high-strength steel engine compartment, means the new model is strong but at the same time ultra-light. In contrast to the 4C Coupe, the Spider model boasts distinctive buttresses to the rear, as well as a new engine cover featuring a trio of heat extractors and spoiler. For the Spider model the front end gets its own unique treatment too, with covered projector-style xenon headlamps as standard.
Alfa have worked hard to minimise wind and noise intrusion when the 4c Spider’s cloth roof is removed, and will be adding the option of a carbon fibre hardtop at a later date. Carbon fibre also constitutes the construction of the optional air intake system, something which will be of special interest to track-focused drivers with the resultant extra transmission cooling. The 4C Spider also benefits from a choice of all-new alloy wheel designs as well as an eye-catching Giallo Prototipo yellow paint finish option.
On the inside, 4C Spider buyers are treated to a new Alpine head unit with device connectivity, and leather trim with optional accent stitching.
The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider boasts the same 240bhp power plant as the Coupe model, giving the model a 160mph top speed and a 0-62mph acceleration time of under 4.5 seconds.
Other features of the model include the upgraded audio system, floor mats, leather glove compartment cover, bespoke car cover, and he free option of parking sensors and cruise control.
