Alfa Romeo have launched a new Giulietta Sprint to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the original Giuletta Sprint model.
The new Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint will go on sale early next year with prices starting from £20,490 on-the-road.
The original 1954 model was powered by a 1.3-litre twin-cam engine, but the modern day Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint puts that in the shade with an all-new 1.4-litre TB MultiAir power unit producing 150bhp which gives the model a top speed of 130mph and a 0-62mph time of just 8.2 seconds. The petrol-powered engine will still deliver 49.6mpg combined, and produces 131g/km of CO2.
Other unique features of the new Giulietta Sprint include five-hole 17-inch alloys, Sprint badging, carbon-effect door panels and dashboard surround, a leather-wrapped sports steering wheel with red stitching, and cloth and Alcantara seats with red stitching and Sprint logo embroidered into the headrests. Other enhancements also include sports rear bumper side skirts and dark-tinted windows. This is in addition to a list of equipment which includes a five-inch touchscreen with DAB, Bluetooth, voice commands, SMS reader, USB port, music streaming and six speakers, darkened headlight surrounds and front fog lamps with dark anthracite bezels, air conditioning, LED Daytime Running Lights and rear light clusters, electric windows, electrically heated and adjustable body-coloured mirrors, sports instruments with white illumination, multifunctional display and trip computer, vehicle dynamic control with Hill Holder, six airbags, remote central locking with deadlocks, immobiliser and alarm.
The Giulietta Sprint will be available from participatin Alfa Romeo dealerships, with the date for first orders to be confirmed early in the New Year.
