Alfa Romeo’s first SUV, the all-new Stelvio, will be priced from £33,990 on-the-road when it arrives in UK showrooms in September.

It will launch in four trim levels – Stelvio, Super, Speciale, and limited edition Milano Edizione – and with two engine options, a 210bhp 2.2 litre diesel or 280bhp 2.0-litre petrol.  In diesel form, the Stelvio will be capable of up to 58.9mpg combined, 127g/km of CO2 emissions, and 0-62mph in 6.6 seconds, while with petrol power those figures change to 40.4mpg, 161g/km, and a class-leading 5.7 seconds. Both engines will be combined with a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.  Shortly after launch these will be joined by a 180bhp version of the 2.2-litre diesel, and a 200bhp version of the 2.0-litre petrol.

The Stelvio will boast perfect 50/50 weight distribution, Alfa Romeo Q4 all-wheel drive architecture, and impressive power-to-weight ratios, as well as a coveted five-star Euro NCAP rating achieved with a score of 97% for adult occupant protection.  Safety features include an Integrated Brake System, Autonomous Emergency Brake with pedestrian detection, Blind Spot Monitoring, Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning.

Priced from £33,990, entry-level Stelvio includes 17-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, LED rear lights, double lateral chrome exhaust pipe, dual-zone climate control, Alfa D.N.A. rotary driving mode selector, 3.5-inch TFT colour cluster instrument panel, UConnect 8.8-inch display infotainment system with DAB plus Bluetooth/AUX multimedia connectivity, an eight-speaker audio system, two front and two rear USB ports, and a multi-function leather steering wheel.

Super models add 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels, front parking sensors, an 8.8-inch infotainment system with 3D navigation system featuring European maps and 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, a two-tone leather dashboard and leather and cloth upholstery.

Speciale trim build on this by adding 19-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels with red brake calipers, chrome window surround, Bi-Xenon 35W headlights, power folding door mirrors, heated front leather seats with six-way adjustment and dedicated four-way power lumbar controls, aluminium shift paddles on the steering column, aluminium interior finishings, and metal pedals.

These three trim levels will be joined by a special launch edition, called the Milano Edizione.  This adds to the Speciale trim with sports leather seats, a 10 speaker Sound Theatre, 20-inch V-Spoke alloy wheels, keyless entry, Athermic windscreen, privacy glass with black gloss window surround, electrically adjustable and heated front seats, and a rear-view camera with dynamic grid lines.
