The growth in Abarth’s popularity in the UK continued unabated last month, as the brand posted its best September ever.

The latest new car registration figures showed how strong interest in the Abarth 595 and 124 Spider models helped the brand to record a year-on-year growth of almost a quarter. In its ninth consecutive month of growth, Abarth registered 987 cars in September compared to 780 during the same month last year. The brand, which celebrates its 70th Anniversary next year, has already surpassed the 3,500 units it had sold in the UK by this time last year, and is on course for its most successful year ever. The UK is now Abarth’s largest European market.

“More customers than ever are choosing an Abarth as they recognise the brand offers both style and performance”, said Andrea Lo Presti, Marketing Director for Abarth UK.
