A team of gymnasts from East Sussex have broken the world record for the number of people inside a MINI.

28 gym members managed to squeeze into a new MINI Hatch as part of the annual Guinness World Records day, beating the previous record of 27 which they set last year.

This surprised us quite a bit because when we reviewed the MINI, we criticised it for its lack of interior space and its small boot; however, it appears we were wrong, as the team managed to squeeze four gymnasts into the MINI's luggage space alone.

The team also broke the record for the most people in a classic Mini. 23 gymnasts crammed themselves into Sir Alec Issigonis's iconic small car, beating the previous record of 21.
