The 5008 has a very smooth ride and performs competently through the bends thanks to sharp steering and a surfeit of grip.
The Pug's 2.0-litre diesel engine is superb, producing 150bhp and 250lb-ft of torque. It offers plenty of low down pulling power - which is useful when you're carrying a heavy load - and 0-62mph takes 10 seconds. You'll also hit 118mph.

There is a huge amount of interior space in the 5008 with a full 2506-litres of luggage space on offer with the rear seats down and a still impressive 2506-litres on offer with the rear seats up. The 5008 should also be a very safe car, having scored five stars in the Euro NCAP tests.
The 5008 Active HDi 150 FAP is priced at £22,395 which is quite reasonable for a car of this size. It should also be very cheap to run with CO2 emissions of 154g/km putting the car under VED band G and a combined fuel economy figue of 47.9mpg. Insurance should also be very reasonable and Peugeot are renowned for their low servicing bills.
